Minutes of the General Meeting held on Monday May 11,, 2015
The meeting was called to order at 8:14 p.m. - on-line Moderator/Chair. – President: Dave Gilmour
Attendance (16  members) Christine Burton, Mary Curl, Shirley Bell, Doris Avery, Dave & Patti Gilmour, Kim Long, Karen Parton, Bernice Langley, Lee and Maryjane Nowak, Irene & len Waddell, Francine Gilanders, Cindy thomas

Reminder: A quick reminder that there is a prize at the end of the year for everyone that has attended a meeting, served on the exec or a committee. You get one entry for every meeting attended, committee served on or exec position. They go into a hat at the end of the year and a name is drawn. (2014 winner - Lillian Wainright)

Minutes: 

Dave: Before we start this meeting, let's please take a moment to remember Eleanor Foley of Elharlen Boxers who sadly passed away last week. She was a lifetime member of the Boxer Club of Canada and her contributions to the boxer breed is world-wide. Condolences to the Foley family -- rest in peace, Eleanor.

Dave: I would like to call this meeting to order. If everyone can sign in with your name

Dave: Everyone should of had a chance to read last month's minutes. Are there any errors or omissions?

Dave: I move the minutes be accepted as written, Doris seconded.

Treasurer’s Report – Kim Long

• 04-30-2015:  Balance $10,697.93
• Debit- Monthly Service Charge - $19.00 ($17.00 S/C and $2.00 Paper Statement fee),  April 6, 2015 BFL Canada (CKC Insurance)-$265.00, April 6, 2015 CKC Invoice- $52.69, April 17, Monika Pinsker-$267.97 (Regional Specialty BC)
•  Balance - $10,093.27         
• Shirley: Has Erie Shores been paid the $25 from last year?
• Mary: I believe they have but we could check
• Kim: Had no idea Erie shores was owed money...never received anything on that when I took over

Show Committee 

• Mary: Anne has been purchasing prizes for the National and I got judges gifts

Publicity: Rich Tarrington – No Report - Not in attendance

Trophy Committee: Anne McDougall - No Report - Not in attendance

Membership:

• Dave (for Doris): Annie Lamothe and Normand W Houde had applied and now have probationary status .

Discipline Committee:  Not in attendance

• Dave: Jenny said there is no report

Obedience Committee:  Marta Nettelfield  -- No Report
Fund Raising Committee: -  No Report
Awards Committee: Kristi Wagg – No Report  - Not in attendance

Special Service Committee: Deb Allardyce – No report - Not in attendance

• Proposed amendments to By-Laws , the full amendments will be sent with the minutes. Notice of the voting procedure will be announced when the amendments are posted with the minutes
• By Law amendment #1. - From Dave Gilmour regarding the make-up of the nomination committee: this is for housekeeping.
• By Law amendment #2 - From Dave Gilmour regarding the term of the Past President:: this is for housekeeping.
• By Law amendment #3 -  From Dave Gilmour: regarding the removal of the bylaw requiring set amount of attendance to apply for specialties
• By Law amendment #4 -  From Dave Gilmour regarding the duties of Past President:  this is for housekeeping.

• There is also an application for a regional in Quebec by Barry Green. Details will be laid  out in the minutes
• Application information:
• Regional Show with United Kennel Club. St. Lazar, Quebec - Nov. 7th, 2015 - including Sweeps. Show Superintendant - Niel Edwards,

• Received approval received from the CKC for BCC National Specialty Conformation Show on August 8, 2015 in Caledonia.
